LLedger

Built for Oman and the UAE

Where your money went, to the baisa.

Ledger keeps rials and dirhams straight across every account you hold, so the number on the screen is the number in the bank. No card linking, no conversions you did not ask for, no rounding.

The smallest unit Ledger tracks

The rial divides into a thousand baisa. Ledger stores money as exact decimals, never as floating point, so a balance is never 43.766999999999996.

2

Currencies, kept exact

OMR and AED, each belonging to its own account. Where they are combined, the figure is marked approximate — because it is.

0

Bank credentials we ask for

Ledger never asks for your online banking login, and cannot move money. It is a record, not an instruction.

What it does

Small things, done properly.

Most of this exists because the alternative was annoying. All of it exists because an accounting app that is confidently wrong is worse than no accounting app at all.

Rials and dirhams, kept apart

Each account keeps its own currency, so nothing is ever quietly converted. Per-currency totals are exact; the combined figure is marked approximate, with the rate that produced it.

Paste a bank SMS

The message is read on your device — it never reaches our servers — and fills in the amount, date, merchant and account. You confirm before anything is saved.

The things that repeat

Save rent, a salary, a standing transfer. Each month shows a tick beside the ones you have already recorded, so the one you forget is the one you can see.

Insights that compare

Every figure is shown against the month before. A category that appeared from nothing is as visible as one that doubled.

Zakat, worked out exactly

Nisab against gold or silver, your choice, at today's price. The arithmetic is exact to the baisa — and nothing you type is stored.

Your data, always

Export everything as JSON on any plan, free included. Taking your records with you is not something you should have to pay for.

The assistant

Ask it what changed.

Not a chatbot bolted onto a spreadsheet. It reads your own figures — this month against last, budgets against actuals, the merchants you typed yourself — and answers from those, or says it cannot.

  • Every number it gives you comes from your ledger. It will not estimate.
  • No account numbers, no IBAN, no email address ever leave the app.
  • It is not a financial adviser, and it will tell you so.

This month at a glance

Which budgets am I about to blow?

One is already over, two are close:

  • Online food: 28.330 of 25.000 — over by 3.330, and it is only the 6th.
  • Laundry: 8.978 of 10.000 — 90% used.

Worth noting the big untouched line: rent, 0.000 of 400.000.

An example, using the illustrative figures above.

Recording, without the typing

Paste it. Check it. Done.

Ledger reads Omani and Emirati bank messages — English or Arabic, whatever your bank sends — and fills the form. It never saves anything on its own: a misread amount that posted silently would be worse than one you have to correct.

The parsing happens in your browser. The text of your bank messages never reaches our servers.

Installs like an app

Add it to your home screen and it opens full-screen, no browser bar. Native iOS and Android are on the way.

Readable offline

Your ledger stays visible without a connection. Writing waits until you are back — a balance no server has agreed to is not a balance.

Leave whenever

Full JSON export on every plan, and an Excel workbook on Pro with real numbers, not text that looks like numbers.

Questions

The ones worth answering.

Does Ledger connect to my bank?+

No, and that is on purpose. There is no open-banking standard across Oman and the UAE worth relying on, and handing a third party your banking login is a bad trade. Instead you paste the SMS your bank already sends you, and Ledger reads it on your device.

Can I hold accounts in both OMR and AED?+

Yes. Currency belongs to the account and never changes, so a dirham purchase stays a dirham purchase. Totals per currency are exact. Where a combined figure is shown, it is labelled approximate and the rate is shown next to it.

What does the assistant actually see?+

Aggregates and the notes you typed yourself: balances, this month and last, budgets, spending by category, and your recent entries. It never receives your account numbers, your IBAN, your email address, or anything identifying you.

Is my data used to train anything?+

No. Your ledger is yours. It is not sold, not shared, and not used to train models.

What happens if I stop paying?+

You drop to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted, every figure stays where it is, and the export button keeps working. You keep Pro until the end of the month you already paid for.

Is there a mobile app?+

Ledger installs to your home screen and works like one. Native iOS and Android apps are being built on the same API.

Start with one account and this month.

That is genuinely enough to see where the money is going. Everything else can wait until you want it.
